Make More Money with Your Website, with Less Effort.
er… I mean, your BACKUP.
What would happen right now if your computer
1. had a fault that could not be repeaired
2. was stolen
3. was destroyed by fire in your home
…or you just deleted a bunch of files that you now want to get back.
If you are not taking regular backups of your computer files, then you’re stuck!
You just lost all of those valuable and irreplacable family photos,
or tax records,
or business documents and contracts,
or music and video files,
and emails
and address book
and calendar appointments
When there are so many easy and inexpensive alternatives.
Option 1:
Go to your computer store or Dick Smith and buy a 1Tb external hard drive for about $150. Disk prices have never been so low. Manually copy over all your files on a regular basis.
Option 2:
Do Option 1, and then get software to automatically manage your backups. There are some good free and low-cost programs available.
If you have a Mac, you get Time Machine already installed. Use it!
Option 3:
There are now many options where you can store your files on a remote server… (a fancy word for “someone else’s computer”).
These “server farms” generally have excellent security, backup and recovery procedures.
For example, you can do this with Google and Mobile Me as well as other options like Drop Box.
The solutions get more and more sophisticated after that.
…at least do Option 1,
so that you have some hope of retrieving your files.
And like Insurance, it is something that you never need…
By the way… when it comes to your website, we’ve got you covered with “incremental backups”, “redundant servers” and a 99.9% uptime guarantee… the best in the industry.
