Secure passwords that are easy to remember

Secure passwords that are easy to remember

And the dangers of using passwords that fall into a standard list or category of password.

Because really secure passwords are so hard to remember, there has got to be a better way.

Well, there is.  Several in fact.

I came across this first idea recently which has the duel benefit of giving your mind positive reinforcement while creating a password much more secure than the average.

Here it is . . .

Use a significant phrase

Something that has meaning to you, so will be easy to remember.

By simple virtue of it’s length, it will tend to be more secure that 1 word passwords.

Try something like  –  [email protected]

This might be a goal that is important to you, and as such it will be easy to remember.

Here is what makes this password secure:

  • It’s length – the more characters, the more secure it will be
  • Capitalising each word throws in more randomness
  • Adding in some numbers can help
  • And a random punctuation or other character should be easy to remember

All of these complicate the task of guessing the password manually or by using computer software, while making it relatively easy for you to remember.

There are other options too.

LastPass Premium

Password products like LastPass are useful for generating and recording very secure passwords for you.

Read all about it at their website:
