That’s a big statement, and some may disagree that Running your business should be a habit.
In fact, many Creator Profile people thrive on the constant change.
But some things must be constant for business to succeed.
Here are some quick tips to get both working . . .
Every business requires a certain amount of creativity and spontaneity to develop, or even just to keep up the pace these days.
But many things also require simple and consistent repetition.
And unless you take note of what things are required to be done – I mean, take a physical note, in writing, on a piece of paper – it is highly likely that important business tasks will get overlooked and forgotten.
And when important things, like your marketing actions get overlooked, business can dry up.
So what are we talking about here?
In fact, we are talking about many things.
- Specific admin tasks
- Responding to sales enquiries
- Checking on production
- Following up customer requests
And then there are the marketing specific things, like:
- posting and monitoring Facebook
- checking other social media platforms that you engage
But I want to focus in on some things relating to your website and online marketing,
. . . and you can apply the principles to the other important business actions.
NOW . . .
Some business owners will balk at spending money on SEO Search Engine Optimisation for their website.
Yet they fail to realise that one of the simplest SEO strategies can be done by them at any time.
And perhaps because it can be done any-time, it gets put off and done no-times.
I am talking about . . .
writing blog posts
We say over, and over, that for your website to be in Google – CONTENT IS KING.
AND the simplest way to create content on your website is to write short blog posts about events that happen in your business from day to day.
We can help you with this by:
- showing you how to do it
- doing it for you
Either way, it is a basic step that should be done regularly – maybe not daily, but definitely weekly as a minimum.
Which brings me back to where this post started out.
Running your business should be a habit
And by habit, I mean create a list of things that you know that you must do, and make it a habit to action the list first thing each and every day.

Well, that is quite simple really!
Oh, one other important thing!
Just because you have a list of things that must be done – doesn’t mean YOU have to do them.
Where possible, find someone to delegate tasks to.
Just make sure that they get done.
What should you do now?
- Start making a list on paper of what you do.
- Make a chart like above.
- Set the discipline to do these things.
