Make More Money with Your Website, with Less Effort.
Is your Web Developer helping you . . .
. . . or hurting you?
Many Web Developers add a small link at the bottom of your website, which points to their website. It’s a common practice, and nothing to get too worried about.
But watch out for the greedy or careless one.
He will make the link to his (or her) website open on the page where your website was, and close your website in the process.
Why is this bad?
Because as soon as someone navigates away from your page, you have lost their attention.
And if your page is no longer there in the background for them to come back to, you have really lost them.
If your web developer opens his website in a new window, (like we do), then your website remains open in another browser window, and the person browsing your site will come back to it.
This is the same reason that you want ALL links that point away from your website to open on a new page… regardless of who they are for or where they go.
