Any post about a content-marketing strategy, will tell you, that you need a goal in place. But understanding what that goal should be, is not as easy as it seems. This was the case for us:
In January 2014, we launched our product dapulse.com In December 2014, we launched a blog. But admittedly, we weren’t focused enough. We knew we wanted to support our product with a content marketing strategy. Yet, we had a hard time defining clear goals and KPIs for such a strategy.
Should it be generating backlinks? Improving our domain authority? Building a mailing list? Generating content to put on social media? We were shooting in all directions, and hitting nothing.
