Google Remarketing can be kinda creepy, but it is an excellent way to follow up on people who have been to your website.
Ever been to a website and then notice adverts for that site pop up on other websites that you visit.
Yup, it is kinda creeoy knowing that it is possible, but it can be a powerful . . . marketing tool for your business.

Up to 98% of people who go to your site are not yet ready to buy, even though by being there they are much more likely to buy at some time in the future.
And when they leave your site, they are gone forever.
Well . . . maybe not.
There are 2 Strategies to use
Firstly, at Hotpink Websites, we set up your website to capture that visitor’s email address so that you can continue to market to them directly … for no additional cost.
You do this using the free business and marketing tools that we install in your website so that you can maximise the return on traffic that reaches your website.
The second strategy is known by various names, including Google ReMarketing, ReTargeting or ReMessaging.
Google knows that a web browser has visited your website, and can then place targeted advertising on other sites that they visit which redirect or retarget them back to your website.
You will have noticed these adverts on pages that you visit, reflecting certain sites that you have been to before.
How do these strategies work?
They are both based on the premise that you have some interest in the sites that you visit, especially if you visit them more than once, or you take some action on those sites.
So . . . even though you did not make a purchase on the day, you are a highly qualified sales prospect.
And you are much more likely to buy something after the repeat contacts.
So if you want to get more results from the traffic that you already have, you should talk with us more about implementing these strategies.
Well, that is quite simple really!

Remember – Google Remarketing is kinda creepy
.
David contacted me by email with this question . . .
In your article on remarketing, you indicate that you can capture a website visitor’s email address for following up later.
Does this need the visitor to have left his email address on a lead capture page or in shopping cart software.
If the visitor leaves NO contact details, can you track and contact them?
Thanks
Hi David
Thanks for your question.
Google Remarketing has the ability to track who visits your site, even if they do not enter any details.
That’s what makes it kinda creepy and Big Brother LOL
In a website, we only gather email addresses when they are given to the website.
While technically it may be possible, it would likely break a dozen privacy and spam laws to do otherwise.
Funny that Google, (and Facebook), can track so much info about you and it is all legal, although I am not aware of them collecting email addresses . . . yet LOL
cheers . . .
